The album artwork for VENOM was originally some green fangs with a black background, but it looked really silly so that didn't happen.

I started experimenting with other concepts in the last few months (symbols, plain backgrounds with large bold text) and people seemed to like the one with the three eyes the best. The eyes are an “artist signature” that I started using in college for abstract paintings, and it seemed like it would be fun to incorporate it into the album artwork.

VENOM is green because it's a green song.

I wrote VENOM three years ago in college. At the time I realized that for years I had been telling myself “I want to write music” without actually creating and finishing any of my own songs, so I just said “screw it” and started writing and recording a bunch of demos on my laptop (Pro Tools on a 2017 gaming laptop!! I'm surprised I didn't accidentally create a supernova in my room).

The next day I sat in front of my computer and just strummed power chords for like 3 minutes straight. After that I read through my lyric sheets to see if anything would stick and I found some I had written a month prior. I started singing them to the power chords and it worked. I scrambled to record some scratch vocals and over the next three days I finished the first demo. 

It didn't sound great, but I realized this was a song I had to share, so I spent more time learning how to use Pro Tools, and when I came home I worked with my dad and we re-recorded… and re-recorded… and re-recorded VENOM… also I rewrote the lyrics completely, lol. The end result is the version you hear now.
